We are the leading subject matter experts when it comes to international trading of commodities and the myriad of contracts involving oil, gas, metals, minerals and agri products. Our offering in the commodities’ sector is unparalleled: we advise, draft and negotiate trading contracts including prepayments and specialized structured trades. On the financing angle, we advise lenders and traders on trade finance structures and security arrangements bringing our enforcement experience to mitigate risks in trading and financing contracts. On the shipping aspect, we advise cargo owners, charterers and oil companies both in contentious and non-contentious settings on a range of issues arising from charterparty disputes, breakdowns and seaworthiness of vessels as well as claims concerning contamination and quality of cargo. As trade finance experts, we have also advised on liabilities arising from the complex relationships between lenders, traders, carriers and custodians of cargo including payment and discharge letters of indemnity.
With our wealth of experience in trade fraud, we bring our unique expertise to any contract, investigation or dispute. We have worked on dozens of trading disputes all across the world including disputes between traders on performance; enforcement actions by lenders against borrower-traders; and disputes involving third parties such as vessel or warehouse operators.
